F.A.Q.

Does my child need physical therapy?

You are the parent and you know your child best! If you feel that your child is delayed or having difficulty with specific movement, then get an evaluation. You may just want to double check everything is as it should be. Find a pediatric physical therapist, and make that first appointment.

My pediatrician told me to wait and see but I'm still concerned. What should I do?

Oftentimes well-intentioned pediatricians suggest to wait and see to determine if a child will truly benefit from physical therapy. The American Physical Therapy Association is trying to change that model. Research shows time and time again that the earlier the intervention, the better. Respectfully advocate for your child. And remember, you do not need a referral to see a pediatric physical therapist.
