Holiday Gift Guide for Babies- ALL UNDER $40!

I personally like to get all the special babies in my life a little gift for the holidays. Nothing too big, but just a little something to celebrate their very first holiday season!

This year I decided to make a holiday gift guide for those that want to stay in the under $40 range. Happy shopping!!!

Newborn-4 months

Perfect toy for tummy time or for a distraction in the car!

What I LOVE about this toy is that it is perfect for babies to look at since it has basic designs and colors- functions as a contrast card. It stands up so it is the perfect height for babies to look at while doing tummy time! It includes a mirror which is also one of my favorite tummy time toy, and crinkle pages for babies to touch and have more sensory exploration with their hands.

I love how multi-functional this toy is!

This rattle is my favorite- it is the perfect shape for a baby’s first grasp which is a cylindrical grasp. The narrow long stick is easy to grasp and is textured for increased sensory exploration. The top part lights up which is great to work on eye tracking and hand/eye coordination skills.

I love how simple (and quiet) this toy is!

This mirror is great for babies who spend a lot of time paying on the floor- hellooo tummy time! Having a variety of engaging toys to cycle through is my number one recommendation for babies to be successful with tummy time and floor play. If you want to read more on why tummy time is important, head over to my blog post about tummy time.

I also like recommending mirrors because it is really the beginning of facial expressions and social play- and an important start to language development!

This rattle is my go-to for the newborn phase. Babies love looking at lights and listening to music. This rattle provides both and has a little handle that is perfect for your baby to work on her grasp skills.

What I really love about this toy is it is portable- great to take in the car or on long stroller walks to provide your baby with entertainment!

5-9 months

These are my favorite tether toys- appropriate for any teething baby to easily grasp and bring it to their own mouth to work on hand/eye coordination in preparation for feeding! Each tether also has different shapes and textures for optimal sensory benefits.

These sensory balls encourage diverse grasps while developing the sensory system. The blocks are great to knock over towers while in tummy time which helps to prepare for rolling. Blocks are also a great toy for fine motor milestones like stacking and banging toys together.

I especially like these balls and blocks because it comes in a set and they also work as good teether toys!

This tunnel provides babies with tons of fun and is great to encourage crawling and develop depth perception. We want babies to develop crawling by 10 months and crawl for several months before walking. Want to learn more about crawling? Read my blog post here.

I really love that it folds up- great for storing it when you’re not using it.

This large sensory ball is great for continuing to refine hand/eye coordination. Babies can start to capture and push a rolling ball as early as 6-7 months! It also helps to work on core strength and sitting balance.

This ball is the perfect size, and it will continue to provide more opportunities for play as your munchkin gets older.

10-15 months

This table is so fun for babies who just started crawling or are about to. You can take 2 legs off and have it stand up at an angle- perfect for encouraging your baby to get into a kneeling position. Kneeling is a great baby step between crawling and standing/walking. (Pun intended!)

It’s a great table to pull to stand on and cruise, both of these milestones typically develop at 10-11 months.

This ride-on-toy is great for babies to learn how to propel themself in preparation for bike riding. It helps to develop leg and core strength, as well as coordination and spatial awareness. Babies can start propelling once they have the ability to crawl (propelling takes quite a bit of core strength and coordination!)

The handle on the back is great for babies to prepare for walking by pushing the car around the house as a push toy. I love that this one toy can function as 2- a car and a walking push toy!

This floor piano is so fun for babies who are crawling or walking. It will help with coordination and balance skills as they push down on the keys with their hands in crawling  or feet in standing to make music.

My daughter loved her floor piano so much! She has been playing with it for over a year!
